SureStart’s Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service aims to improve early identification and support for children with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
The SLT supports those closest to the child in understanding typical communication development, recognising speech and language difficulties, implementing strategies to support the child’s communication development, and accessing further support if necessary.
We offer parent information workshops as well as parent and child groups, and a home visit may be offered. The SLT also provides advice, support, and training from the SureStart Team.
